Stratford League (Winter League) is now on the way.
The ANZSAC Basketball Association (ABA)
has been established as a Basketball Competition aimed at the thousands
of Australian, New Zealand expatriates
(but not exclusive of other nationalities, currently have all the continent represented in all the teams) living in London and
surrounding areas.
After living in London for
over 5 years each, both Tolli Hickes and Steve Dunn the originators
of ABA saw a distinct lack of basketball competitions and venues
and set about establishing their own.
So the ABA was born...
Now in its 8th Year the ABA has gone from strength
to strength. With a summer competition spanning 4 nights a week
at London South Bank Uni.( SE 1) consisting of Men's, Women's
and Mixed teams. The Stratford mens winter competition is played
on monday and wednesday evenings. Unfortunately due to lack of
court availability both womens and unisex are only held during
the summer time.
The ANZSAC Basketball Association is a self
funded association run by a committee of volunteers. The 2008 committee
consists of Steve, Tolli and  Seyi.
